From May 13-16, 2025, Stepanavan State Agricultural College hosted a national capacity-building training session. The training aimed to support the pilot implementation of work-based learning within three specialties at the SMART Farm in Stepanavan, set to begin in September 2025.

The training was conducted by educators from the French partner institution, Lycée Agricole Les Sardières (https://sardieres.fr/). Bénédicte Chorrier-Collet, Pierre Mouroux, and Vincent Chaverot led sessions covering various topics. These included organizing learning cycles between classroom and farm, involving teachers and students in milk reception and dairy production, conducting student assessments, and addressing the challenges of transitioning from the current dual education model to work-based learning at the SMART farm adjacent to Stepanavan State Agricultural College.

This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing practical education in agriculture, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.
